APA – The Engineered Wood Association (formerly the American Plywood Association) is a not-for profit trade association representing manufacturers of plywood, oriented strandboard (OSB), glued laminated timbers (glulam), structural composite lumber (such as LVL, LSL, and OSL), prefabricated wood I-joists, and cross-laminated timber (CLT).

The Forest Products Development Center (FPDC) is located within the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University. We focus to provide high quality graduating students coupled with relevant research to key industrial stakeholders. Key stakeholders include industry, government, academia, and granting institutions whom has an interest in finding solutions to barriers that hinder product performance or prevent product entry for sustainable green biomaterials from our natural resources. Our education based mission is to prepare and supply a high quality pool of graduating students to our stakeholders whom need the next generation of leaders for their industrial programs. Our research mission is to characterize, define and provide processing or new product solutions that are environmentally friendly and utilize natural resources. We also strive to address wood quality issues for biobased product manufacturers, forestry and renewable natural resource managers, and timber management companies in the southern U.S.

Clemson University Wood Utilization + Design Institute

Clemson University’s Wood Utilization + Design Institute (WU+D) is a multidisciplinary engine of innovation where foresters, architects, engineers, constructors and building industry stakeholders coalesce to design advancements in wood-based construction materials to compete with steel, concrete and other materials currently used in nonresidential construction. WU+D works to forge new markets and grow South Carolina’s forest products industry, as well as enhance education and career opportunities for Clemson students. Formerly the National Particleboard Association and the Canadian Particleboard Association, the Composite Panel Association (CPA) is the North American trade association for particleboard, hardboard, medium density fiberboard, and the decorative surfaces industries.
