Situated in the lower northwest quadrant of the District of Columbia, The George Washington University's Foggy Bottom Campus is minutes away from Dupont Circle, the Georgetown shopping and restaurant corridor, and the Golden Triangle business district. Our Foggy Bottom campus has neighbors such as the Kennedy Center, State Department, The World Bank, and The International Monetary Fund Headquarters, in addition to being just a few blocks away from the White House and the National Mall.

Getting to the IC
The DC Metro commuter rail is the best way to get around. There’s a Metro stop just 6 blocks from Mabel Thurston Hall and then it’s a 3-mile ride (with one transfer) to the Convention at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Total travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
How to register for Student Housing
When you register for the IC, select and pay for Student Housing. Request your roommate at that time (and have that roommate request you) - but we cannot guarantee that we will place you together. Rooms will be assigned based on the number of students and gender.
